Where is the love? -excerpt from "Words One Can't Describe" Book

A promise of togetherness, ‘til death do us part
Giving the chance to fix a broken heart
The pleasure of the first intense kiss
A warm feeling to just reminisce
The divine caress of the romantic touch
A feeling so good one can't get enough
The heart's desire, a rare moment
To try to get it back, one can only dream of it
Where is the love?
Like the heavens sent from above
To soar in the sky without a clue
Swept off your feet, is it true?
A daring encounter dipped in chocolate
Taste the strawberry that is dipped the way you like it
Making love with the one whom steals your heart
A promise of togetherness, ‘til death do us part
Where is the love when these feelings have passed?
Only in memories that will forever last
Truth be it told, as the story unfolds
For it will never disappear
As sweet nothings are whispered in the ear
And when the last drop of love has finally been made
And the feeling just makes you want to shed a tear
You will look at your partner as they begin to gaze
Watch as it flows down the cheek, a shared tear
There is the love, holding on to you for the rest of your years

Restless sleep

When you can’t sleep, count sheep But the sheep don’t appear The echoing of your name Is the only thing I hear In my mind, as if my brain Vanishes, leaving an open space Throughout the village of mountains I hear the echo and in the snow I see your face When you can’t sleep, count sheep Still the sheep aren’t in sight The fire in my mind that burns for you During sleep, once again ignites Toss and turn in restless sleep To get close to you, I sometimes walk In reality you’re not around So why in my dreams, do you stalk? When you can’t sleep, count sheep But when I do, the sheep quickly turn Into sweet memories of you In restless sleep you need me When I awaken, it’s not true written by Marcia S. The Weight

I could feel the weight of her world upon my shoulders Yes, upon my shoulders the weight of her world I flashback to once upon a time when I was a little girl Brought into this world by a mother and a father My mother and my father I was brought into this world A world that was created by my Father A world that was created long before my birth Long before my delivery, a time before my worries You know they say to practice what you preach And I teach, I was taught from birth to love Yet, at times I feel that love doesn’t love me back Instead, the kind of love that I attract is the kind of love that attacks And smacks and hurts and bruises one’s ego Making you second guess your first thought And ignore your second and third thoughts Makes you at times question your whole entire existence A lot of pieces of my heart, tend to be missing So yes, I could feel the weight of her world upon my shoulders For I, for I, me, I am not getting younger, yet older I feel paranoid, ...

Side tracked

Side tracked Lost in your so called love for me Forgot about all that was important to me Losing track of the time that God gave me Letting you constantly blind me Being with you made me forget how to write Beautiful words within my soul ignite Once you are gone away from me You see, I can no longer afford to be, a part of your misery Desperately seeking a new place to fly Leaving you be, must let sleeping dogs lie For your misery shadowed what was supposed to be our happiness And we have been side tracked by this constant reminder of your sadness That leaves me lost walking alone in the dark Unable to sleep, unable to eat, or love from my heart The way I was taught to What was wrong with it being all about you? So much to be wronged when I had a family of my own Neglecting them behind this mess, we haven’t grown Together, yet much far apart The love I have for you I wish it had never start Love doesn’t take you down past roads you already been Especially where the road leads you to...
